I started riding at 9years old and got my first pony, Beau, 2 years later. He taught me lots but he was so good he made me feel I could jump the moon when the reality was I really couldn't!! The I outgrew him and got Drummer. He was far from plain sailing. When we first got him he wouldn't eat out of a haynet and had to be hand fed any hard food. Also he completely terrified me to ride as he had quite a nap in him!! So we had quite a tough time until he calmed down much more and settled in (although this took a year!!) So we have improved a lot!
Currently I am doing GCSE's and riding most weekdays and competing weekends. We have been happily competing at unaffiliated intro and pre-novice. I would like to BE him but our dressage really lets us down. When it goes right it is worthy of 8's and 9's for every move but it is usually mediocre!!!
